What is the point system?

The point system is based on everyone’s involvement in VSA. Basically, it means that members get points for participating and having fun at our events. We’ll be keeping a record of how many points everyone receives.

What are these points for? How do I earn them?

What these points do is that and the end of each semester the winner with the most points will receive a prize. And of course it’s not gonna be some little prize cause it shows you had a lot of dedication for VSA and were able to make it out to our events. Everyone who comes before 7:10pm will earn 2 points and anyone who shows up past that will earn 1 point just for being able to make it out to our meetings.

What other opportunities do I have to get more points?

1. Bring A Friend. Another way of getting points is by bringing a new friend to VSA. In order for you to get the points you have to come tell Thinh Nguyen who it is, introduce your friend and you will earn 2 points.
2. Dance With VSA. For the upcoming Lunar New Year show, we will be needing dancers to be part of the culture or modern dance team. If you decide you want to participate in one, you would earn 10 points but if you participate in both, you’ll earn 15. This takes a lot of time and dedication therefore the points will be high.
3. Volunteer & DPPS. Volunteering to help at events or DPPS (football pre-game parking) will give you points as well. You will earn 3 points each game you volunteer to do DPPS with us.
4. VSA Socials. For other outside events such as Pho Night, Basketball, Ice Skating, UofM DVN, etc. we will be announcing how many points prior to the event because we feel each event are worth differently.
5. VSA T-Shirt Design Contest. Put your creative skills to the test and design a t-shirt for VSA. If it is a legit t-shirt design, you’ll earn 3 points and if you win the contest, you’ll earn 5 points.
6. Register On VSA Website. If you register as a member on our website, you will receive 1 point. By commenting your thoughts on our event through the website, you will be given another point every time you leave us feedback.
